What a saved itinerary is not
Folders of beaches and lodges feel like intent. In travel app analytics they are closer to a scrapbook, unless a later visit reopens the same calendar.

Tour and OTA apps love a heart icon. Guests in East Malaysia save islands the way other people save recipes. Counting those saves as “demand for Semporna” overstates what will happen next Tuesday.
During reviews we ask whether opening the saved item lands on the live room calendar or on a brochure that can no longer take a deposit. If it is the brochure, the save is a scrapbook. Treat it as a reminder the guest might return, not as a near-booking.
The useful event is the return visit that actually reaches stay dates or a tour basket. That is slower to collect and much closer to the trip.
